1. Go to setup->options and click on the database tab.  Select Create new SQL Database.

2. If the SQL Server is installed locally on your computer and the Checkmate SQL installer from www.geotab.com/downloads was used, select SQL Express installed on this computer

otherwise select SQL Server on this computer or network

3. If you selected SQL Server on this computer or network, you must enter the server name, the format is

server name (computer name or ip address)\SQL Server instance name (if you installed SQL Express from Geotab's website, the instance name is GEOTAB)

Example:  Patrick-PC\GEOTAB

4. Type sa into SQL login, and your password into the password field (if you downloaded SQL off of Geotab's website, the password is vircom 43)

5. Click on the Advanced Options tab and type the name you wish your database to be called in the Database Name field (the default is GEOTAB1)

6. Click OK and your database will be created.
