A CheckMate service will run as a windows service whenever the computer is on, regardless of whether the CheckMate program is running. You can set up a CheckMate service by following these steps:
1. Go to options->settings and select the services Tab. Make sure Enable Live Downloads and Enable Passive Downloads are NOT selected
2. Click CheckMate Server Options. If you have not previously set CheckMate to run as a service, you will a notification that the CheckMate service needs to be enabled. Click Yes.
3. In the CheckMate Server Options window, select the Database tab. Select the database you want CheckMate to download your data to.
4. In the CheckMate Server Options window, select the Services tab. If you are using Key or RF units select Enable Passive Downloads (RF and Key). If you are using Live units, click Enable Live Download
Your computer will now download data from your vehicles whenever your computer is on (even if the CheckMate program is not running).
