Geotab Maps are customs maps that can be created using a compatible GIS format and our ESRI Map Integration Support Files available at www.geotab.com/downloads 
 
The compatible format is listed below:
ESRI white paper (July 1998) is the most recent publicly available SHAPE file technical description. We support this standard with the following conditions:
 
1. Datum types: WGS84/NAD83/D_GDA_1994(GDA94). Other datum types are not compatible and must be transformed into WGS84.
2. Projection type/unit: GEOGRAPHIC projection/Degrees as the projection unit. Other projection types are not compatible and must be transformed into GEOGRAPHIC/Degrees.
 
In ArcInfo PROJECTDEFINE terms it can be described as:
 
Project: Projection Geographic
Project: Units DD
Project: Datum WGS84 {or NAD83 or D_GDA_1994}
 
3. Shape Types: 1 (point), 3 (line), 5 (polygon) and 8 (multi-point).
   No support for types 11, 13, 15, 18, 21, 23, 25 or 28 (Z or M shape type features)
 
4. Each shape file must be represented as a set of three files with *.shp, *.shx, and *.dbf extensions
