Permanently Deleting Notifications

After dismissing a notification, I have noticed that, under "My Notifications," when I check "Show Dismissed," I can still see dismissed notifications from our 5.2 database prior to our 5.3 installation. Is there a way to delete old notifications or adjust the amount of time it keeps these old notifications? They are currently dated back to 5/22/08. I would like to keep them current to be able to isolate and troubleshoot future/present issues.

The only way to delete dismissed notifications is to go to "tools" -> "Clear old data", and change the "clear old data until" field to the desired date. However, PLEASE NOTE that this will also delete old trip and GPS data, engine data, and exceptions as well.

Unfortunately, this is the only way to do it right now.

Yeah, I definitely do NOT want to delete old trip data. If you can, please add this to the list of possible options in the future 5.4 version. This would be a great feature (If you have another point of contact for the development of 5.4, I would be more than willing to provide additional input since we have been the "5.3 guinea pigs."
