Follow the steps below to migrate your data to another SQL database.

1) First create the SQL Database on your network server. Refer to the Checkmate 5.2 Quick Start Guide available at www.geotab.com/downloads for details on creating a SQL database and connecting to a database..

2) Connect to the Blank SQL database you've just created. Click Setup->options and enter the new server name and database name.

3) There is a feature in Checkmate 5.1 or later that will allow you to migrate data from one database to another. Important note: the feature will not merge two databases. It will overwrite the database that you are connected to. To start the process, Click Tools->Import->Other database.

4) Confirm that the Current Database is the blank database you've just created.

5) Where it says "Import Existing Data From", Select your source database with existing data.

6) Click import to start the migration.

7) It is recommended that you change the name of your previous database to avoid someone connecting to an old database.

Please let me know if you require more information

Please find a link to the 5.2 Quick Start Guide below, however I do recommend that you speak with your company about upgrading Checkmate to our latest released version which is 5.3.1.
