When you go to Setup, then Groups, in the "Configure Groups" pane, I'm not able to remove one of the groups. I get the following error;

"There are still assets or groups under Empty, please remove them first."

I have gone through each Device and Driver Key and removed them from all groups and re-added them to the new groups that were created. I had also run reports prior to see who was still remaining in the group to be deleted, but no one is listed under this group. Is this a glitch in 5.3, is there another method of seeing what possible assets are listed under this group, or is there a way to manually delete this group?

Thanks,

Tony

The group could also be linked to exception rules

1) Click Setup->Exception rules

2) Verify that none of the exception rules are linked to the group that you would like to delete. Notice that group names are shown beside exception rules in the format (Group1,Group2, Group3).

Please reply with your results.

Sorry for the delay. The Exception Rules DID include that particular group. However, even after removing them from the group and updating the exception policy, it still states there are assets connected to that particular group. Is there any other locations I should be looking at? I have already checked the following;

Devices

Driver Keys

Users under that particular Group

Exceptions

The last location to look is in Setup->Zones.

1) In Checkmate 5.3, Click setup->Zones.

2) Select the zone and click Edit Properties under the Task Drop Down

3) Select the groups tab and verify that the zone is not associated with the group in question

Edit Properties option is grayed out and not allowed on any of the zones.

Please confirm that only one zone is selected. In the current version, you cannot edit properties for more than 1 zone

Issue resolved:

Issue was found that inactive drivers were assigned to the group called 'empty' that we were trying to delete.

Once the inactive drivers were moved to a different group, we could delete the group called 'empty'
