what kind of data did you receive?
was it data from a disconnected site? -> You can import this data via Administrations->Database->Import from Disconnected Site

data from an extract key? -> You can create a key and apply it and the data will download to the respective device history

a separate SQL/Access Database? -> Unfortunately, merging of databases is not supported

If it is another type of data then please advice.

Dear All,

Think i was not clear in my previous request.
I have Geotab installed in my local server that is in the main office, and some of our drivers are located out of the main office city.

I received daily mails of data downloaded from the vehicles keys, and i need to store it in the live database here in the main office. my geoatab knowledge doesn't permit me to do much.

Please guide me how to do and if you can send me also a geoatab users guide book.

Thanks,
Luudnill

The user guide is located HERE

As for storing the data, again how are you receiving the data? Are you physically receiving the data key? Are you receiving a backup file made from the data key?

If you are physically receiving the key, then all you need is a key downloader plugged into your computer and the Key Downloader service enabled in Checkmate, then simply insert the key into the key downloader and the data will be downloaded into the live database.

If you are receiving the backup file made from the data key, then you will need a key downloader as above and a key and you can restore a backup key(Vehicles & Devices->Troubleshooting->Restore Backup Key) and after restoring you can remove and re-insert the key and the data will download into your live database.

If its neither then in what format is the data?

To enable the Key Downloader services you must go to: Administration->Options->Services->Advanced and make sure that Go Radio or Key through Usb Downloader is checked, then click on OK.

The steps to create a key backup are as follows;
>Vehicles & Devices
>Troubleshooting & Accidents
>Create a Key Backup
> Insert the key you wish to backup and wait for the backup process to finish
> Click Next
> browse to the location you wish to save to
> input the name you wish to give it and click save
> Click on Next
> Click on Finish
