Hello

I can see many(thousands) bad files in my Checkmate folder. Please advise why I am getting bad files, and how to remedy.

Thank you

Bad files are created when Checkmate recieves data that it deems to be unknown or invalid.
A common cause is having a device with an invalid driver id assigned to it, for this issue you should also see if you get a notification within Checkmate. If you see that notification then it will tell you which device is causing these bad files, make sure that this device has the latest firmware on it.
If you need us to decrypt these bad files then send the bad files for the last 7 days in a zip file to geosupport.
Once you think you've solved the issue then remove the bad files from the Checkmate folder, if you wish you can just create a BAD folder under the Geotab folder so that you keep records of them.
