Why do you need to reset the product ID?
Is the firmware version given by the device corrupt?
To update the firmware on all devices to its latest version you just need to download the specific firmware into the Geotab\Checkmate\Firmware folder on the checkmate server or you can create a key via checkmate and apply it to the devices manually.
If you want to do it over the air but just to one device then you need to download the firmware file to the same folder and append 'SERIALNUMBER.' to the beginning of the filename.

You must first upgrade your GO2 RF stream units to 5.3.3
Then have the units communicate with Checkmate.
After that you must log into your database through SQL Management Studio and open the CustomData table and look in the binvalue column.
If the vehicle has a bin value that starts with 0xCC?? where ?? is 71 or greater then it that vehicle is upgradeable.
You must then go into the Vehicle table so that you can match the vehicleid with the vehicle description/serial number.
