Hi,
Yesterday I drove on HWY 407 and my GO5 beeped continuously (fast beeps)and stopped beeping immediately when I exited. Later that day I got back onto the hwy and the GO5 didn't start beeping until halfway into my trip on the hwy. It beeped continuously for a few minutes and then stopped - this time before I exited. Has anyone ever heard of this before? Do you know the cause / resolution?
Thanks,
Mauricio

Hello,
Did the first occurrence start as soon as you entered and stopped as soon as you exited the 407?
How fast were the first beeps? And how long did they last?
Could you provide a more specific time range as well as your GO5's serial number so that I can review the logs?

1) Yes. Yes.
2) Beeps were very fast - a few per second.
Ser# G5XXXXXXXX. I don't have a speeding alert set on Checkmate.
trip : Sept 8th - 9:37 - 10:06 am. and also 12:56 to 1:20 (traveling south on the 404)

So you are saying that the device was constantly beeping throughout both of those trips?
Is this GO5 on a MyGeotab database? If so, what is the database name?

I now know what the problem was. I setup speeding parameters under administration/system settings and thought that these speeding parameters applied to all vehicles in the organization. I didn't know that speeding parameters can be setup for individual vehicles. The lower speed setup for the GO5 was triggering the alarm. I assumed that administration/system settings would apply company wide and overrule any specific parameters setup for an individual vehicle. I think that this is a logical assumption and that you should consider it as a modification. ie. setup speeding or idling rules that apply company wide, rather than the tedious task of setting it for each vehicle.

The speed bands under System Settings are used for Risk Management reporting only, I will speak with the developers to see if we can add some help text in that section clarifying this.
As for globally setting speeding and idling rules, this is already possible via Exception Rules. This is found under Rules & Groups -> Rules.
