In Checkmate 5.5, custom reports that are written using the SDK and that are accessible through the Checkmate user interface are disabled by default. To enable the reports, a custom code has to be entered by an administrator in Administration->System settings. In the Custom Code field, enter ADDINREPORTS

Checkmate 5.5 provides a powerful ability to create custom reports using Excel and involves no programming knowledge – this should offset a lot of the requirements that could previously only be achieved through the SDK.

Geotab Checkmate is busy transitioning to fully Web enabled system. The custom report model using an SDK running C# does not fit well into the Web based system and will in future only be available for doing server based operations. An alternative method for writing custom reports is in the works for a future version of Checkmate, but details around this will emerge later. For this reason, writing reports using the SDK is disabled by default in Checkmate 5.5 but still supported through entering the previously mentioned custom code.

Once the custom code is added where it will show the custom report in the application? Also I'm using Windows 7, in which folder I have to put the custom report so Checkmate can see it?

Thank you

On the menu, navigate to Drivers and Activity -> Add-Reports.
This will open up a screen that lists all the add-in reports available on your machine.

Please note, if you've just enabled the ADDINREPORTS setting, you will need to log into Checkmate again before this menu becomes visible.

In windows 7, the path for addin reports is
 C:\ProgramData\GEOTAB\Checkmate\Reports
