Please ensur that you have enabled passive downloads. Follow these steps
1) Click setup->options
2) Click services tab
3) Check the box "Enable Passive downloads"
If the issue is not resolve and you recently uninstalled checkmate 5.0, please follow these steps
1) Open add/remove programs in Control panel.
2) If the program Geoport USB drivers exists, it must be removed. These are old drivers used with Checkmate 5.0
3) Once this is complete. Right click on the My computer icon and click manage.
4) Click on the device manager link on the left.
5) Scroll to the bottom and expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers
6) Right click on Geoport USB RF Downloader and click uninstall
7) Click Scan for Hardware Changes. You may be prompted to restart your computer.
8) Ensure passive downloads is enabled, You now should see unplugged or connected status.
To locate drivers, Replace the folder "User" with folder corresponding to your local user name
