I have a customer in Moncton who has purchased a new computer and wishes to move his existing setup for Geotab over to it.
He is currently running Geotab under Access Database and I would like to move him to SQL server.
Are the following steps correct?
NOTE: DON'T DELETE ANY INFO ON THE OLD COMPUTER UNTIL THE NEW COMPUTER IS FULLY OPERATIONAL
- Load Microsoft Mappoint onto the computer
- On the new computer go to www.geotab.com
- Under Support you will find a Checkmate Downloads and under there a file called Microsoft Framework 1.1. Proceed to download this to your new computer and run the file.
- Use the following link to down load the latest Geotab software; ftp://update.geotab.com/Public/release/checkmate/full/Checkmate.5.0.30.3569.exe
- ON YOUR OLD COMPUTER go to the following location C:\\programfiles\geotab\checkmate.
- Copy the files(s) that have mdb extensions and put in the same location on the new computer.
- On the new computer, start the Geotab program; enter all of the vehicle GT#s.
- Verify the new computer is picking up the data.
