What are the details of this position:

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for creating and managing a project’s scope, project plan, and deliverables. You will be required to work with project stakeholders, involving them in key business decisions. You will be responsible for the implementation of the project tasks, as well as managing day-to-day activities. You will also need to provide regular status reports to key stakeholders to ensure the project is on time and meeting expectations. You will need to work closely with all Geotab teams, so that you are able to perform your job to the highest level. 

This individual will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills, and holds the ability to quickly understand complex, technical concepts. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical, business and project management skills with an ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through completion. The successful candidate will also be able to manage multiple timelines and contrasting priorities to ensure timely results.  Travel within Europe will be required as well as visits to the Canadian Head Office for training.

Duties and Tasks/Essential Functions:

  • Manage projects in UK ensuring milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate internal teams involved in the project: Product readiness (including certification, languages, connectivity) Training, Solution Engineering, Operations & Support and Administration
  • Guide resellers and customers through all the project phases: pilot, solution definition, development, implementation and operations.
  • Add project management methodology, ensure advance and milestone achievable.  
  • Provide expert and professional technical sales support on products, software and services provided by Geotab across the Reseller and distribution channels

  • Experience/Skills Required:

  • Engineering degree or Bachelor’s degree in business or commerce
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience
  • Formalized project management training and certification (minimum of Prince Level 2)
  • Outstanding presentation, facilitation, communication skills and customer-focus
  • Excellent analytical, administrative and organizational skills
  • Experience developing RFP responses and negotiating vendor/client contracts a plus.
  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Google business products (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experience in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature the capabilities of the PMO.
  • Exposure to the telematics industry or Driver Safety/Behaviour a definite asset.
