ANZ Partner Summit 2025

Key Insights

  • Above market growth in ANZ is backed by Geotab's commitment to expanding local teams and partner support.
  • Geotab unveiled the new Ace AI assistant, which will transform how fleets access data, by providing insights and answering questions in seconds.
  • The integration of a new AI Video Telematics solution, GO Focus Plus, is an example of data, video and artificial intelligence converging into a single platform.

Sydney Harbour Bridge provided a stunning backdrop for Geotab’s third annual ANZ Partner Summit, where we welcomed over 100 valued partners from across Australia and New Zealand. For two days, we connected, collaborated and took a deep dive into the trends shaping our industry. The key takeaway was clear: in a market defined by distance and complex regulations, collaboration is the key to success.

The summit was packed with exciting announcements and demonstrations of the technology that will drive the next wave of growth. It kicked off with an address from our leadership team; Chief Revenue Officer Louis De Jong, Vice President of Global Markets Sean Killen and Associate Vice President for APAC David Brown. The team highlighted Geotab's above-market growth in an industry that is rapidly maturing. They also announced the expansion of Geotab’s local team, reinforcing our commitment to providing unparalleled, on-the-ground support for our partners.

The future is an all-in-one video telematics solution powered by AI

2025 ANZ partner summit

A major theme of the summit was the convergence of data, video and artificial intelligence into a single platform. The industry is moving away from separate systems to unified All-in-One (AiO) solutions that provide comprehensive safety and visibility. The integration of a new AI Video Telematics solution, GO Focus Plus, is a perfect example. The solution offers intelligent safety alerts, event-driven recording and real-time insights to help prevent collisions, protect drivers and cut fleet costs, without invading privacy.

The Associate Vice President of Safety Solutions Fernando Ferreira offered strategic insights on how this trend will help Geotab capture the ANZ market. He highlighted the importance of refining sales positioning by acknowledging the diverse needs of customers at different stages of their safety journey. By tailoring the approach to critical stages of the sales cycle, our partners can more effectively demonstrate the value of a comprehensive solution.

Taking this a step further, we also unveiled Geotab Ace, our new conversational AI assistant, in Australia and New Zealand. Ace is set to transform how fleets access data, providing insights and answering questions in seconds. This tool is the first step in our vision for an open, multi-agent system where our partners can build and integrate their own services, creating unique value for customers.

Unlocking opportunities in heavy transport

The Australian heavy transport sector is a major growth area for Geotab. With regulatory pressures like Chain of Responsibility (CoR) laws making modern telematics a necessity, the opportunity to upgrade the more than 630,000 registered heavy vehicles is massive.

Geotab’s Heavy Transport department for APAC shared with the summit that the key to winning in this space is a deep understanding of the customer's technology journey and their very real pain points. Many operators are grappling with the administrative burden of complying with CoR and National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme requirements, maximising Fuel Tax Credits, and staying on top of vehicle maintenance.

A key announcement at the summit was the upcoming integration of certified Smart On-Board Mass (OBM) systems, which provide real-time, automated vehicle mass data for fleet management and regulatory compliance. Geotab’s collaboration with leading providers Airtec and Loadmass  will remove a key barrier for operators by addressing Transport for NSW's Telematics Monitoring Application (TMA) scheme requirements, equipping our partners with the comprehensive solution needed to solve these specific customer pains. The strategy is clear: by providing a platform that ensures a safe and compliant transport operation and by offering superior service and support, our partners can empower customers to deliver their freight on time, every time.

Building safe driving habits with Geotab Vitality

Another exciting launch at the summit was Geotab Vitality, a platform that rewards safer driving. Traditional driver behaviour programs often rely on disciplinary measures, but Geotab Vitality flips that model by using a gamified system to build safe driving habits.

In partnership with Vitality, the platform provides drivers with weekly goals and unlocks rewards like gift cards for their achievements. This approach has been shown to improve overall driver behaviour by 25% in the first 30 days. Most impressive, fleets that reach Geotab Vitality Platinum Status can lower their collision risk by 48%.

Marketing as a growth engine

The Geotab APAC marketing team emphasised the importance of generating high-quality leads through different initiatives, highlighting examples such as partner-hosted "Lunch & Learn" or "Dine & Discovery" as effective events which could help to engage potential customers.

A key goal is to amplify our partners' success. To deliver this, Geotab is launching a brand-new Partner Marketing Concierge Service in 2026. This initiative will be a major focus, formalising successful collaborations and driving growth together.

The road ahead

Geotab’s evolution has been remarkable. We are now recognised as a leading name in telematics across Australia and New Zealand. This incredible progress is a shared success.  Thank you to our partners for their vital collaboration, and we look forward to achieving even greater milestones together.
