Geotab Wins Big on Safety at Brake UK Fleet Champions Awards

London, United Kingdom, (12 October,  2023) - Geotab Inc. (“Geotab”), a global leader in connected transportation solutions, has been recognised at this year’s Brake UK Fleet Champions Awards winning the Fleet Safety Product Award for its integration with Lytx Surfsight cameras. It was also highly commended for the Fleet Safety Partnership Award for its work with LEVL, SureCam, and euroloo. 

Recognised by the judging panel, the Getoab Lytx Surfsight integration comprises the AI-12 camera—a configurable, easy-to-use dash cam that offers advanced technology and robust safety features—combined with the MyGeotab platform, enabling operators to identify and prevent any of the driving behaviours leading to an incident.

The solution leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Vision (MV) to identify risky driving behaviours such as distracted driving, eating/smoking, or using a mobile phone. It also helps prevent accidents by providing First Notification of Risk (FNOR) alerts, helping drivers to self-correct their driving behaviour and prevent accidents occurring.

Combined with Geotab’s world-leading telematics platform fleet operators can create event-based rule sets based on specific driver behaviours, with access to video footage anywhere and at any time on a vehicle’s journey.

For fleet operators, this enables them to help prevent accidents, reduce risky behaviours and incident frequency, and help reduce insurance claims and costs.
