Geotab® GO9

TCA’s type-approval provides users with confidence that the GO9B and Geotab GO9-LTM telematics devices have been independently assessed and meet the performance-based requirements outlined in TCA’s Telematics Device Functional and Technical Specification.

TCA is a national organisation and the administrator of the National Telematics Framework (NTF), a digital business platform that supports an open marketplace of telematics and links authorities, technology providers and transport operators together to deliver improved road safety and efficiency. A subsidiary of Austroads, TCA plays a vital role in assessing and certifying telematics and vehicle-based technologies.

GO9B type-approval

The GO9B (Model: GDSAA1, SKUs: GO9-LTEB1TLS and GO9-LTEB2TEN) has received TCA type-approval. Customers using either the GO9-LTM or GO9B can now enrol in the following National Telematics Framework road schemes:

GO9-LTM type-approval

The GO9-LTM (SKUs: GO9-LTMTLS and GO9-LTMTENO) was type-approved by TCA in August 2024

Following type-approval, Geotab progressed its submission to become a certified Application Service Provider under the National Telematics Framework in 2025.

Both devices remain certified and do not need to be replaced.
