Geotab has been pushing the limits in the telematics space for over 20 years. Our technology processes huge amounts of data to make it easier for you to manage and optimise your fleet.

In this article, we look at how Geotab’s patented data processing technology, flexible and customisable controls, and seamless integration with third party products all work together to help you take your business to the next level.

Big data provides access to intelligent insights

Our data processing technology receives and analyses 40 billion vehicle data points per day. Through MyGeotab, this huge amount of data is put into context, providing you with access to intelligent insights on your drivers’ and vehicles’ performance, and enabling you to make informed decisions to give your business the cutting edge.

Access to big data also allows you to benchmark your fleet’s operational performance against that of other fleets with similar characteristics to your own. This gives you the power to see what opportunities you’re leaving on the table.

Flexible reporting for greater context

With MyGeotab, you can set custom safety rules. This prevents you from being inundated with alerts and reports for minor safety infractions, and only shows the drivers that have maintained an excessive speed for a prolonged period of time, or have considerably exceeded the posted speed. This lets you focus your attention on identifying reckless drivers, rather than those that needed to speed up momentarily to safely execute an overtake.

Greatest compatibility for easiest integration

Whatever the composition of your fleet, from cars to HGVs and from diesel to electric, Geotab offers the same rich data collection features, with the same device going into each vehicle.

And our flexible platform offers true, seamless integration with third party technology. So if you have existing hardware or software, or want to implement additional layers of fleet management solutions, we provide you with a unified experience.

Manage all elements of your fleet in one user-friendly dashboard

In our web-based platform MyGeotab, you can manage every vehicle in your fleet, and every element of your operations.

MyGeotab displays clear and actionable data that meets your unique operational needs. With customisable controls, you can receive early indicators and alerts of the fleet management issues that are pertinent to your business. All of this data is captured and then displayed in user-friendly dashboards and reports.

Supporting your fleet as you transition to electric

We have your entire electric fleet covered with support for the largest set of EV makes and models available, from cars through to buses.

To help you transition to electric, Geotab’s Electric Vehicle Suitability Assessment (EVSA) will provide you with EV adoption recommendations that can meet your range requirements, and make the most financial sense.

Then with MyGeotab, you can manage and monitor both EVs and non-EVs in the same platform, reviewing fuel and EV energy usage and directly comparing performance with equivalent fuel efficiency (Mpg-e).

Custom EV reports will provide you with insight into battery use and help you identify if any PHEVs are running solely on conventional fuel, and live maps provide you with a real-time view of your electric vehicle fleet’s battery charge percentage and charging status.

….

With Geotab, you can use the power of big data to gain complete oversight and control over all aspects of your fleet operations in one user-friendly platform.
