Revvo was born out of a simple but pressing question: why were tires—the only part of a vehicle that touches the road—being left out of the connected vehicle revolution?

Back in 2017, my co-founder Andrew Ko and I saw a clear gap in mobility. While vehicles were getting smarter, tires remained invisible from a data standpoint. No real-time insights. No predictive intelligence. And yet, tires play a critical role in both safety and performance. Our early goal was ambitious: build an intelligent platform to extract useful, predictive insights directly from the tire itself.

The early days were scrappy. We started building in my garage, where our first sensor looked like an AirPods case that barely made it through a day. We’d rush to install it, drive around to collect data, and then repeat. Our first test vehicle? Andrew’s 2011 Ford Focus! It wasn’t glamorous, but it was enough to prove that we could extract meaningful data from tires.

Very quickly, we realized this pain point extended beyond just fleets. Tire manufacturers were eager to understand what was happening on the road, too. We had companies flying in to see our prototypes, confirming we were onto something bigger than we initially thought.

One of our earliest deployments was with the City of Orlando. We were literally under garbage trucks in the Florida heat wiring up trucks and installing sensors. It was messy, hard work, but incredibly validating. That hard, hands-on work in Orlando confirmed what we knew: tires had been a blind spot in connected vehicle data for too long. We set out to change that.

A Partnership that Grows with Our Customers

Our partnership with Geotab began around 2020, when customers started asking to see Revvo’s tire data within their Geotab dashboards. That early integration, driven by customer demand, laid the foundation for a collaborative relationship.

What’s made this partnership so impactful is how naturally our values align. Both Revvo and Geotab prioritize safety, sustainability, and customer-first innovation. Geotab’s team has been consistently supportive and forward-thinking, helping us test new features and even integrate our sensors directly with the GO9 device.

Together, we’re delivering smarter, more actionable intelligence. By combining Revvo’s real-time tire data with Geotab’s comprehensive telematics platform, fleet managers can make better, faster decisions. That’s the kind of 1+1=3 value we strive to deliver.

What We’ve Learned - and Where We’re Going

One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that having a bold vision is just the beginning. To stay ahead, we’ve had to remain focused on evolving customer needs.

Today, it’s not just about collecting data. It’s about making it actionable. Fleet teams want to know: What does this data mean? How do I use it without adding friction or cost?

At Revvo, we’re answering those questions by turning complex insights into clear, practical value. Whether it’s helping stretch the life of a tire, reduce roadside failures, or manage budgets more effectively, our platform is built to help fleets do more with what they’ve got.

As we look ahead, we’re focused on making innovation even more intuitive and impactful—because the future of transportation should be smarter, safer, and easier to manage.
