On July 19, 2022, CISA released a Security Advisory on the MiCODUS MV720 Global Positioning System (GPS) Tracker detailing six vulnerabilities which successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities may allow a remote actor to exploit access and gain control of the global positioning system tracker. These vulnerabilities could impact access to a vehicle fuel supply, vehicle control, or allow locational surveillance of vehicles in which the device is installed.
Geotab hardware, including the Geotab GO device, does not contain any hardware or software from MiCODUS. This includes not containing the MiCODUS MV720 GPS tracker as per CISA's Security Advisory.
