November 6, 2012 - Geotab, North America's largest telematics provider to enterprise level fleets, and Innovative Software Engineering (ISE) have teamed up to deploy ISE’s compliance package: eFleetSuite. Designed with the end-user in mind eFleetSuite empowers fleets with full featured Electronic Driver Logs and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reporting (DVIR) applications. eFleetSuite applications enable paperless compliance consistent with FMCSA regulations specified in Part 395, section 15 and Part 396, section 11 and 13. The Geotab system with eFleetSuite applications has been tested extensively in the field, and as a result, the solution is ready for use.
eFleetSuite applications, which have been integrated into Geotab’s premium GPS fleet management solutions, consist of a driver facing mobile component as well as a web interface, which is used by dispatchers and maintenance personnel. The eFleetSuite applications automatically record driver status, calculate available driving time and facilitate the documentation of equipment defects. Compliance documentation is presented to managers real-time via the web interface and can be viewed, sorted, edited, and printed. Other reporting features include driver time and mileage summaries, violations, log edit auditing and equipment repair certification.
Neil Cawse, Geotab’s CEO, believes the relationship with ISE provides value to Geotab’s unique and premium telematics offerings which supports the organizations overall commitment to telematics innovation. “Our customers are able to completely eliminate labor intensive paper processes, and fleets can ensure proper documentation is available for critical items such as roadside inspection. The offering not only improves driver safety, but also productivity, compliance, and overall fleet optimization.”
In response, Hass Machlab, President at ISE, elaborates further by explaining that, “ISE’s off the shelf eFleetSuite applications perfectly align with Geotab’s telematics service offering. It brings a compliance solution to market quickly.” He goes on to say, “It has been our pleasure to work with Geotab to custom integrate our application into their existing system, providing a competitive advantage for them and their customers.”
