In the past 12 months, Geotab reduced its scope 3 emissions, saving over 285 metric tons of CO₂e through its Internal Sustainable Transportation Program.

OAKVILLE, Ontario - Sept. 29, 2026 - Geotab Inc. (“Geotab”), a global leader in connected operations, video telematics and AI-powered insights, today announced it has been named a winner in the 2026 Sustainability Awards Open in new window in the Sustainability Initiatives of the Year category.

Presented by the Business Intelligence Group, the award recognizes organizations, products, teams and individuals delivering measurable progress in environmental and social responsibility.

Over the past 12 months, Geotab’s Sustainable Transportation Program Open in new window helped avoid more than 285 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) emissions. The program supports lower-carbon commuting and business travel while helping employees overcome common barriers to sustainable transportation. Decarbonizing employee mobility is one way Geotab is working toward its net-zero goals.

“‘At Geotab, sustainability is integrated into the core of how we operate as a business,” said Neil Cawse, Founder and CEO, Geotab. ”Through targeted incentives, infrastructure and smart policies, the Sustainable Transportation Program empowers and equips our global team with the resources to choose cleaner mobility which helps us reduce Scope 3 emissions and drive meaningful progress toward our net-zero goals.”

Advancing Sustainable Transportation

Geotab’s Sustainable Transportation Program includes:

  • A 25% subsidy* for eligible employee electric vehicle purchases
  • Free on-site electric vehicle charging at offices in Oakville and Waterloo, supported by 41 charging stations
  • 100% reimbursement for public transit and bike rentals
  • Zero-emissions fleet for business travel
  • A global Sustainable Travel First policy that prioritizes electric vehicles and train travel

Since the start of the program, Geotab has invested more than $2.3 million USD in EV incentives and subsidies for sustainable commuting alternatives.

Together, these initiatives are helping Geotab reduce emissions associated with employee commuting and business travel while supporting its mission to create a safer, more efficient and more sustainable world in motion.

About the Sustainability Awards

The Sustainability Awards Open in new window recognize organizations, products, teams, and individuals leading the way in environmental and social responsibility. The program evaluates achievement across a wide range of industries and geographies, celebrating initiatives that turn sustainability commitments into measurable, verified outcomes.

Winners are selected based on how effectively they are advancing environmental and social outcomes, reducing risk, and moving their industries forward. Judged by a panel of experienced business executives who provide transparent feedback and detailed scoring, the awards honor those proving that sustainability and business performance can advance together.

"Sustainability used to mean a pledge. Now it means a number," said Russ Fordyce Open in new window, Chief Recognition Officer, Business Intelligence Group. “Geotab stood out because its work in sustainable transportation reflects where the field is headed: measurable outcomes, not aspirational statements. This recognition highlights an organization that is not just talking about sustainability, but proving it with results.”
