Toronto, Ontario (May 10, 2022) - For the fifth consecutive year, Geotab, a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, today announced it was recognized for overall business performance and sustained growth with the prestigious Canada's Best Managed Companies designation. The 2022 Best Managed program award winners are amongst the best-in-class of Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $50 million demonstrating leadership in the areas of strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment, and financials to achieve sustainable growth.

Now in its 29th year, Canada's Best Managed Companies remains one of the country's leading business award programs recognizing Canadian-owned and managed companies for innovative, world-class business practices. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates the caliber of their management abilities and practices.

"Being named one of Canada's Best Managed Companies for the fifth year in a row is a direct result of our employees’ dedication to innovation, culture and customer success," said Neil Cawse, CEO at Geotab. "At Geotab, we believe in investing in our people by implementing innovative ways to better support, motivate and assist our staff in reaching their highest potential. As a company dedicated to "always doing the right thing," we will continue to invest in talented employees who share our passion for creating a more sustainable world today, and in the future."

Applications are evaluated by an independent judging panel comprised of representatives from program sponsors in addition to special guest judges. 2022 Best Managed companies share commonalities that include, but are not limited to, putting their people and culture at the forefront, focusing on their ESG strategies, and doubling down on accelerated digitization.

Recognizing its role as an enabler of low-carbon fleets, Geotab strives to better support its employees, partners and customers in the fight against climate change. In November of 2021, the company released its inaugural Sustainability Report outlining Geotab's ambitious new target to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040. Confirming its commitment to climate action, Geotab became an official signatory of The Climate Pledge and has continued to work with like-minded organizations such as Google Cloud, The Ray, and Rocky Mountain Institute to help businesses and governments focus on sustainability efforts.

"Now in its 29th year, the Best Managed program seeks to recognize companies who combine strategic expertise and a culture of innovation with a steadfast commitment to their communities," said Derrick Dempster, Partner, Deloitte Private and Co-Leader, Canada's Best Managed Companies program. "This year's winners demonstrated an increased focus on environmental, social, and governance issues. They maintained an unwavering dedication to their core purpose, enhancing client relationships and cultivating a healthy corporate culture."

2022 winners of the Canada's Best Managed Companies award will be honored at galas across the country. The Best Managed virtual symposium will address leading-edge business issues that are key to the success of today's business leaders.

The Best Managed program is sponsored by Deloitte Private, CIBC, The Globe and Mail, Salesforce and TMX Group.
