Leading Global Telematics Provider Ranks Number 65 among Top Leaders in Innovation

Toronto, Ontario — October 30, 2015 – Geotab, the go-to leader in telematics with more than 400,000 vehicles in 70 countries on its roster of users, today announced that Connected World magazine has placed the company on its respected CW 100 list for 2016. Debuting at number 65, Geotab is one of the highest ranked in its industry and was selected for its technological innovation and dedication to driver and fleet safety, offering such solutions as individual driver safety reporting, loss control reporting, instant accident notifications and self-insured fleet benefits, among others.

“Geotab’s impressive year-over-year growth has secured our position as one of the fastest growing telematics companies  in the world. This can be attributed to the ongoing dedication of our engineering staff and our tireless work to build a strong, reputable industry brand for our products and company. Connected World has been instrumental in supporting our communications by recognizing Geotab’s achievements and relaying our dedication to security, reliability, and scalability to their steadfast M2M and IoT audiences,” says Neil Cawse, Geotab CEO.

Published since 2003, the CW 100 annual list has recognized companies across the globe, ranking elite technology leaders based on their contributions to the connected devices marketplace. Rather than just listing the industry’s top 100 technology innovators, each company is ranked on their game-changing technologies, products, services, and commitment to enable connectivity as determined by the editors of Connected World. This ranking is considered the most definitive and influential directory when it comes to looking at the shifting demands of the market, which is a true indication that Geotab consistently has its finger on the pulse of the telematics industry and the ever-changing needs of today’s fleets.

As part of its dedication to fleet safety management, Geotab recently introduced GO TALK, a driver awareness tool designed to transform the way driver coaching happens behind the wheel by providing real-time verbal feedback to fleet drivers. GO TALK is an add-on module for the Geotab GO7 vehicle tracking device that combines GPS tracking, accelerometer and diagnostic data, as well as other manager programmable data incorporating time of day and location zones to relay instant, spoken instruction and safety information directly to fleet drivers. GO TALK also passes information back to the fleet management center on driver behavior and the effectiveness of responses to the audible coaching. Watch this video to see GO TALK in action.
