New Sales and Reliability Figures Show Fortune 500 Companies Choosing Geotab to Maximize Productivity and Minimize Downtime

Toronto, Ontario – September 28, 2015 – Geotab, a leading global provider of premium-quality, end-to-end telematics technology, today announced that between September 2014 and June 2015, more than 150,000 Geotab GO7 devices were sold.

Designed for fleet management applications, the award-winning GO7 detects data from the engine, drivetrain, instrument cluster and other relevant subsystems to maximize productivity and minimize downtime, with a a warranty field failure rate of just 0.11 percent.

“Fleet owners value reliability, which is a major reason why the Geotab GO7 is their go-to solution for maximizing productivity and efficiency,” said Geotab CEO Neil Cawse. “The GO7’s 99.89 percent reliability, combined with Verizon’s robust, reliable nationwide cellular network, gives them the peace of mind they simply can’t get with most other telematics solutions.”

Announced in October 2014, the GO7 was certified for use on the Verizon network a few weeks later. Operator certification is a major milestone because it enabled this solution to be sold into a larger pool of potential customers, such as those that require specific geographic coverage or that prefer a particular network operator.

Fortune 500 companies rely on Geotab's solutions to improve productivity, optimize fleets through the reduction of fuel consumption, enhance driver safety and achieve stronger compliance to regulatory changes. The company's products are represented and sold worldwide through its authorized reseller network on five continents and serve over 12,000 customers. Today, 600 million telematics data-points are collected on MyGeotab every day, deeming it one of the world’s leading global telematics platforms, in which unique data collection from vehicles can be used for intelligent benchmarking to improve overall performance and safety for any fleet.
