Geotab secures its ranking on Canada's Top Growing Companies for second consecutive year

Toronto, ON - September 25, 2020 - Geotab, a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, today announced that it has placed No. 210 on the 2020 Report on Business Ranking of Canada's Top Growing Companies. Canada's Top Growing Companies ranks Canadian businesses on three-year revenue growth; Geotab earned its spot with a three-year growth of 191%.
With more than 20 years experience in driving innovation, this recognition from the Globe and Mail comes on the heels of a successful several months for the telematics pioneer. In January 2020, Geotab announced that it had surpassed 2 million global subscribers and officially secured the title of largest commercial telematics provider in the world. Demonstrating resilience over the last several months, the company continues to grow and exhibit its strengths during times of adversity and has shifted to provide data-driven support for its customers and communities navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently, Geotab was again recognized as the number one commercial telematics company in the world by ABI Research.
"We are honored to have made the Globe and Mail's Top Growing Companies ranking for the second year in a row," said CEO Neil Cawse. "As we celebrate 20 years of providing customers around the world with award-winning, data-centric solutions, it is rewarding to witness Geotab's steady growth as a result of our continuous innovations, investment in research and development, and most importantly, the dedication and hard work of our employees and partners across the globe."
Founded in Oakville, Ontario, Geotab has grown its presence in North America over the last several years, while also more recently expanding across the globe into Australia, Latin America and several countries across Europe. Geotab processes more than 40 billion data points a day to provide its over 40,000 customers with actionable vehicle insights to help them become more efficient, safe and sustainable. Geotab’s key industry differentiator is its open platform, which promotes a network of cooperation and has attracted a world class partner ecosystem.
Launched in 2019, the Canada’s Top Growing Companies editorial ranking aims to celebrate entrepreneurial achievement in Canada by identifying and amplifying the success of growth-minded, independent businesses in Canada.
“Any business leader seeking inspiration should look no further than the 400 businesses on this year’s Report on Business ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies,” says Phillip Crawley, Publisher and CEO of The Globe and Mail. “Their growth helps to make Canada a better place, and we are proud to bring their stories to our readers.”
The full list of 2020 winners, and accompanying editorial coverage, is published in the October issue of Report on Business magazine—out now—and online at tgam.ca/TopGrowing.
