Today they mark achievements, and Geotab has reached a significant one — more than 2,000 government agencies in North America now rely on our solutions to help monitor and manage their vehicles.

Small agencies and large municipalities, cozy towns and large federal departments entrust us to oversee and safeguard more than 250,000 vehicle assets, hundreds of thousands of employees and the public as a whole.

Stamp of approval

We’ve worked hard to put purchase contracts in place over the past few years, helping cut through purchasing red tape to allow fleet managers to get the telematics solution that fits their needs – and budgets. The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) awarded Geotab a five-year single-source contract to provide telematics solutions for the entire 200,000-strong GSA fleet, one of the largest non-tactical fleets in the country.

Geotab was also awarded a blanket purchase agreement to supply the State of California and local governments with telematics solutions. The State’s entire fleet will eventually be equipped with Geotab devices, and other municipalities are following suit. Additionally, Geotab has been participating in the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR)’s Continuous Testing Program pilot since 2020, which aims to eliminate in-person smog checks for government fleet vehicles, a time-consuming and expensive use of employees’ time that telematics is uniquely positioned to solve.

Recently, Geotab added Sourcewell and NASPO cooperative contracts to an impressive list of growing contracting mechanisms, giving government agencies across North America and Canada (through Sourcewell only) access to industry leading telematics at a competitive price. We’re proud that Sourcewell ranked us #1 in their list of fleet management solutions.

These purchase agreements make it easier for government fleets to implement Geotab solutions to help improve safety, increase uptime and reduce costs. We’re proud to support more than 2,000 government agencies that rely on us daily to provide them with a way to implement best practices to take their operations to the highest levels of productivity and efficiency.
