Geotab was named Oakville’s Large Business of the Year at the 2015 Oakville Awards for Business Excellence.

Geotab is proud to announce that it was honored as Oakville’s Large Business of the Year for 2015 at the 21st Annual Oakville Awards for Business Excellence, hosted by the Oakville Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Oakville West. The award recognizes a large business serving provincial, national, and international markets, which has shown distinction in business growth, profile and reputation, innovation, investment in business, and business practices.

Geotab Honored for Business Growth and Innovation

In the award presentation, Geotab was recognized as an industry and world leader in the field of telematics and fleet management. Geotab’s tremendous growth was highlighted. In the past two years alone, Geotab has increased from a company of 90 to over 200 employees. Many Fortune 500 companies rely on Geotab’s open platform fleet management solutions to access actionable business intelligence and benchmarking data to improve productivity, optimize fleets through the reduction of fuel consumption, enhance driver safety, and achieve stronger compliance to regulatory changes.

Clive Cawse accepted the award on behalf of Geotab. In the acceptance speech, he thanked the Geotab team for their contribution. Clive described how the company was influenced by two significant decisions made 25 years ago. The first decision the Cawse family made was to come to Canada. The second important decision was to live in Oakville. It was the acceptance and support of key individuals they met in Oakville that helped mold the company into the success it is today.

The Oakville Awards for Business Excellence recognize the valuable contributions that businesses and entrepreneurs make to the economic health and quality of life in Oakville. In 2015, Profit Magazine listed Oakville as one of the Top 10 Best Places for Business in Canada. This year, 56 finalists were in attendance, representing categories such as KPMG Entrepreneur of the Year, RBC Royal Bank Small Business of the Year, and Oakville’s Business Icon Award. A portion of the funds raised at the event go to support the youth initiatives of the Rotary Club of Oakville West, including the Oakville Rotary Education Awards, Camp Enterprise, and Rotary Youth Leadership Awards.
